Training Courses
Training Courses are specifically designed following consultations with the school or organization. The purpose of the training courses is to instill new or improved practices within the participant. Participants are instructed through the use of power point presentations and hands-on activities. Then the participants return to their classrooms to practice the new/improved skills. Internal and external monitoring is conducted, using journals, observations, and conferences. (External monitoring can be conducted by colleagues, school leadership, or Omega International consultants.) Both internal and external monitoring is measured through the use of specially designed instruments. Additional training can be given as needed. Training sessions need to be conducted with participants seated at tables of 8 to provide quality hands-on learning prior to the practice portion of the training. Training courses can include classroom teaching and assessment, school leadership, developing and maintaining learning communities, the psychology of working with others (school leaders, colleagues, students, and parents), and teacher leadership with accountability.
